Miniclip strongly suggests upgrading any Guest account to avoid data loss.
If you have a Guest account and, for example, happen to lose your device or uninstall the game, you will lose all your progress and will be forced to start from scratch if you wish to continue playing the game.
It's impossible for the Support team to retrieve a lost account, so because of that, our recommendation is to always associate your progress in the game to a Facebook or Apple ID account.
This way you are saving your account, reducing considerably the risk of losing it. Also, it is the only way of transferring your progress in the game across all of your devices.
Having said that, the process of upgrading is rather simple. This is how you do it:
- Go to the Settings of the game
- Choose the service you wish to use: "Login with Facebook" or "Sign in with Apple" (only available on iOS devices).
Very important: make sure your Facebook or Apple account isn't already linked to another Golf Strike account, otherwise the Guest account won't be upgraded and you will automatically login on that game account instead.
Everything is done! Now your progress in the game will be associated to either your Facebook or Apple ID!
Whenever you start the game for the first time, you simply have to choose to login with Facebook or Apple ID and insert the credentials of your account. The saved up progress will automatically load.
