Head to Head Mode is the main game mode in Ultimate Golf! Playing this mode allows you to unlock new courses, earn virtual coins and in-game cash, and climb the global leaderboards. To play, tap the “Entry Fee” button in one of the available Head to Head Golf Tours. The entry fee will be collected along with the entry fee of your opponent and held until the end of the match.
In Head 2 Head mode, your goal is to defeat your opponent on a single golf hole. To do so, you must get the ball in the hole in fewer attempts than your opponent. If you do, you win the hole, and collect both entry fees and trophies that help you unlock access to higher Golf Tours and new golf courses!
To learn more about how trophies are won and lost follow this article for more detailed information.
If you and your opponent get the ball in the hole in the same number of attempts, you will both be taken to a tie-breaker Par 3 hole. The player who hits their ball closest to the pin on this tie-breaker hole, wins!
What is a Golf Division?
Each week you’ll be placed on the Weekly Leaderboard labeled MY LEAGUE on the Home Menu. This leaderboard counts the number of coins you’ve won throughout the week in Head to Head matches. You’ll start at the lowest division on the leaderboard, with the goal each week of earning enough coins to be promoted to the next division. There will be 100 other players on your leaderboard to compete against.
How do I get promoted to a higher division?
The MY LEAGUE leaderboard displays how many coins you need to get promoted. It also displays how many you need in order to avoid relegation to a lower league. Every week, your position on that leaderboard will determine whether you move up a division, remain where you are, or if you sink to a lower division.
What happens when I get promoted?
Reaching higher divisions will allow you to earn more club cards in Mystery Bags, allowing you to progress through Golf Tours faster. You’ll also need to work your way up through the divisions to compete on all levels of Golf Royale and Tournament events.
