Spades Master is a new Miniclip game based on the popular Spades card game. Like the original game you place a bid on the number of tricks you think you will be able to take when your hand is dealt.
"But what is 'bidding on a trick'? What is a 'trick'?" we hear you ask.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We plan on guiding you on your first steps to become a Spades Master.

First steps in the game
Completing the tutorial
Upon entering the game for the first time, you will immediately jump to the tutorial, in which you will get a quick introduction to the basic game mechanics.
Your first match!
Once you've completed the tutorial, you will be put in a game with three other players matched and given the chance to put in practice what you've learned!
By winning the match you will get a vial which you can then tap to unlock.
The journey to be a Spades Master begins now!
From here on, you will be able to play the game as you desire!
Main Screen
On the main screen you can choose the four game modes.
The modes currently available are Play and Event. League will be locked until you reach the required level and Competition is coming soon!
Play
The game has two ways of play: Solo and Partner
Solo is how you played during the tutorial. It's you against three other players as you attempt to collect a target number of tricks. A trick consists of four cards, each played from the hand of every player. At the beginning of a match each player bets on the number of tricks they will win. Because this is Spades no suit tier is named trump. Spades always trumps, meaning it always wins the trick against other suits. However, whenever possible you are forced to follow up the suit lead ( the first card dealt) with a card of the same suit.
For each trick you are able to win out of the trick you bet, you win 10 points. For each additional trick you win a single point. However, be aware that if you a accumulate too many extra tricks ( aka overtricks or bags) points will be deducted. For example, in Austin Apartment for every 5 extra tricks 50 points will be taken away.
If you bet a certain amount of tricks and score under that number, you are awarded no points.
The goal is to reach the points set in a particular game room.
Partner: The gameplay does not change, but you now play with a partner and both your scores are combined. Be thoughtful, because you might want to let your partner win some tricks otherwise they might not reach their bet and award your team no points.
Event Rooms
These are special events that can be played for as long as they are available. You have a number of matches you can compete, here represented by the number of hearts you have. You can top them up by purchasing more with gems.
These event offer special prizes and may have slightly different winning conditions.
Event. League
In the league menu you'll be able to see how you are faring against other players in your weekly league. According to your progression in the game you'll be assigned to a league of evenly matched players.
When the week ends you'll receive prizes according to your placement. Note that the coins displayed on the right are not your prize. They are the amount of coins you won that determine your placement.
Shop
Finally, the Shop is where you can find all the available offers. You can purchase coins packs, gems packs, and coin booster.
In this knowledge base you can find out more about the different currencies by following this link.
Player Profile
On the top left corner you'll find your player profile.
Here you can see your overall performance and neat details about your gaming style. Additionally, you can change your nickname and add a picture. If you tap any of the icons you'll be prompted to connect your account with Facebook and the game will assume your Facebook profile's name and picture.
