Hello Coaches!
In this article we hope to explain to you how conflict resolution works in Soccer Hero.
So, what is a conflict? In short, a conflict is a comparison of the stats of the footballer who has the ball VS the opposing footballer. Whichever footballer has the higher stats wins and proceeds with their Win Action (explained below). However, if both footballers have the same stats, there will be a 50% chance of winning the conflict.
Each footballer type follows a set of basic rules, as displayed below:
Footballer | Start Action | Win Action |
Defender | Gets into a conflict resolution with forward | Passes the ball to a Midfielder player |
Mid fielder | Gets the ball & gets into a conflict resolution with another midfielder | Passes the ball to a Forward player |
Forward | Gets into a conflict resolution with defender | Goes for a Goal (Goal phase [read more here]) |
FAQ:
- What if my footballer doesn't get the chance to execute their Start Action? Your footballer will execute the Win Action instead
- What if my footballer can't execute their Win Action? Your footballer will conflict with the next footballer type instead
- What if there are multiple footballers in a row? The footballer looking for a conflict will prioritise footballers by proximity
Stat reduction/Exhaustion
So, what happens after a conflict? You will notice your footballers stats will decrease. That decrease is a direct subtraction from the footballer with higher stats to the one with the lowest stats.
For example:
- Footballer A has attack stats of 50, Footballer B has defend stats of 20
- The attack stats of Footballer A become 30 (50-20)
Note: Stats reset every round, so your footballers will go back to their original stats on the next round.
FAQ:
- What does it mean when my footballer lost a conflict and their stats are now a "-" instead of a number? This means your footballer reached the lowest stat value and is now in exhausted state. As such, your footballer will not be able to get into a new conflict for the current round
- What if my footballer has reached the exhausted state in defend stats, but not in attack stats? Your footballer will still be able to get into conflicts where the attack stats are used, but not in defensive conflicts
- What if my footballer has reached the exhausted state in attack stats, but not in defend stats?
Your footballer will still be able to get into conflicts where the defend stats are used, but the ball will not be passed to him
Pass Phase
Once a conflict is resolved, your footballer will pass the ball forward to the teammate in the next position with the highest attack stats.
We trust that this guide will improve your understanding of how conflicts are resolved in Soccer Hero! Remember to strategically position and utilise your footballers to their fullest potential to secure victory on the field!
