In the 1.8 patch, we've focused on highlighting defensive infielders and making balance adjustments related to speed. Previously, infielders with very low defensive stats rarely made errors, but now the distinction between power-hitting infielders and defensive infielders will be more noticeable. Additionally, we've adjusted the skill balance of infield characters and fixed an issue where stats above 250 were not applying correctly.
Patch Highlight
Nerf: Eiji, Wilson, Gina Buff: Martina, Jack, Hank, Alexandra, Brock, Rodriguez, Terry |
Infield Changes
The difference in defense stats among infielders will increase.
When infielders catch low and fastballs, the error differences based on their defense stats skills will become more pronounced.
Players with high batting but low defensive abilities will find it harder to field tough hits without making errors.
It's time to pay attention to the defense of infielders.
The difference in defensive movement among infielders will increase.
While there was already a movement speed difference based on defensive ability, the gap is now even larger. Players with higher defensive abilities will now move more quickly.
New animations are added
New defensive moves have been introduced based on the defensive situation, creating a more diverse and realistic experience depending on the ball's reception direction and the player's throwing position.
Changes related to Velocity
Pitch velocity adjustment
The overall speed of pitched balls has been slightly reduced to make hitting a bit easier.
Overall stat balance adjustment
To align with the changes in pitch velocity, adjustments have been made to speed-related factors such as throwing speed and base running speed. Additionally, an issue where some stats were not applying correctly when exceeding 250 has been fixed.
Infielders Skill Adjustments
Eiji
Eiji’s throwing ability was overly powerful, so it has been slightly nerfed for balance. The effectiveness of his throw speed has been reduced by 15%.
Martina
While Martina's power increases by 10% with each foul, hitting fouls has proven more difficult than the development team anticipated. To encourage more use, her power increase per foul has been raised to 18%.
Wilson
With Wilson's skill activation, the home run rate was statistically too high, requiring balance adjustments. The effectiveness of his skill activation has been reduced by 5%.

Gina
While Gina excels in batting, her infield defense is overly strong. To give other infielders more opportunities, her skill effects have been adjusted with a 5% reduction in movement speed increase and a 10% reduction in animation speed.
Jack
Jack's skill, untouched since release, has been enhanced. To balance it with other skills, his speed increase effect has changed from +6 to +12.
Hank
Hank, strong on the first pitch, has not been commonly used as a starter. To encourage more use in starting roles, his skill effect has been significantly increased to +30.
Alexandra
Alexandra, known as the goddess of loaded bases, receives enhancements for balance with other skills. Her power when bases are fully loaded has been increased to +40.
Brock
Brock, an infielder known for stable defense, is one of the least-used players. His skill effect has been significantly enhanced to improve his overall performance.

Rodriguez
Despite a prior enhancement, Rodriguez, the left-handed pitcher slayer, remains underused. Given the challenge of facing left-handed pitchers, his effect upon activation has been further increased. His power now increases by 38 when facing left-handed pitchers.
Terry
Terry, strong with bunts, has seen declining use. To encourage more opportunities, his skill effect has been slightly improved. The sprint increase effect during bunts has been raised to 20.
