In this 2.5 patch, balance adjustments will be made to pitchers.
Which characters are getting changes?
Let’s find out together.
LET'S GO!
Patch Highlight
Pitch Type Balance Adjustments
1. Circle Changeup
The Movement of the Circle Changeup will be slightly reduced.
The Circle Changeup is one of the pitch types that many users find difficult to hit.
Since its break is significantly larger than other pitch types, we decided to slightly reduce its movement to improve overall balance.
2. Changeup
The Velocity of the Changeup will be slightly increased.
The Changeup was designed to induce swings and misses, but one of its weaknesses was that it was so slow that it was too easy to square up.
With a slight increase in Velocity, we expect it to become a trickier pitch than before.
3. Cutter
The Movement of the Cutter will be increased.
To improve the Cutter and make it a more powerful pitch type, we decided to increase its movement further for better balance.
We also hope this will increase the usage rate of pitchers who have a Cutter.
Character Balance
- Shotaro
The maximum stat increase from Shotaro’s skill will be adjusted from 60 to 50.
Shotaro’s current performance is too strong, and the fact that both the pitcher and batter receive stat increases was seemed to be too advantageous compared to other characters.
As a result, we decided to make a balance adjustment.
- Marie
Marie’s skill effect will be increased, and some of her stats will be adjusted.
In addition, her hidden pitch will be changed from a Changeup to a Screwball.
At last, Marie has transformed herself through relentless effort!
Her skill has been upgraded from Velocity +30 to +40, and while her Movement has been reduced slightly among her base stats, her Spin has been increased.
Finally, she has learned a new pitch type — the Screwball — which can only be used when she plays together with her twin sister, Rose!
At last, it’s Marie’s season!
- Simon
The maximum width of the Control area will be increased, and the minimum width will be decreased.
The cursor movement speed will also become slightly faster.
With this adjustment, the difficulty of timing the input will increase slightly, but when the timing is correct, Simon will be able to pitch with even more precise Control than before.
- Luna
The team buff effect of Luna’s skill per inning will be adjusted from 10/15/20/20 to 8/12/16/20.
Among Luna’s two powerful skill effects, we determined that the team-wide Speed increase was too strong in the early innings, so we decided to adjust the balance.
The maximum value of the skill will remain the same, but the early-game Speed buff values will be reduced.
- Roger
Roger’s skill effect will be increased from Velocity +40 to +50.
Roger was loved when he was first released, but now he has found himself watching younger pitchers from the bench.
However, through constant effort and never giving up, he has managed to strengthen his ability even further.
Now, it’s time for Roger to return to the mound!
- Nova
Part of Nova’s skill effect will be buffed, and her Changeup will be changed to a Circle Changeup.
Nova is the DJ who controls the rhythm of the ballpark!
She was loved early on, but lately she has been spending more and more time on the bench.
Through relentless effort, she has not only improved her skill, but also mastered a powerful new pitch type.
Now is Nova’s time!
- Yuna
Yuna’s skill effect will be increased from Control +30 to +40.
Yuna has continued to be loved in the lower leagues.
As a veteran pitcher who has spent a long time in the league, her steady effort has finally paid off, and she has succeeded in improving her ability.
Let’s go, Yuna!
- Jaeho
Jaeho’s pitching form will be changed to sidearm, and his Forkball will be changed to a Splitter.
Jaeho may have spent a long time in the dugout, but he never gave up.
At last, he has succeeded in learning a new pitching form and mastering a new pitch type!
Meet the newly transformed Jaeho this season!
- Michelle
The Velocity increase from Michelle’s skill will be adjusted from +30 to +40.
Michelle was with us from the early days of the league, but as players advanced to higher leagues, it became harder for her to take the mound.
Through consistent effort, she has succeeded in taking her skill to the next level.
We hope Michelle can once again earn a starting role even in the higher leagues!
That’s all for the 2.5 Balance Patch.
The dev team will continue to monitor the game and think carefully about improvements so that users can enjoy fairer and more exciting matches.
