Chat options
Want to add some extra flavor to your matches?
While the game is on, you will be able to interact with your opponent through pre-defined chat messages or emojis.
To do so, you just need to tap on the message icon next to your avatar.
Using Emojis
If you prefer Emojis over text, we got your back!
You can easily access your Emojis by clicking on the the message icon next to your avatar.
Where can I see my Emojis?
You can check your owned Emojis in your profile, like shown below:
Chat settings
In order to access your Chat options, you first need to click the settings button on the main menu in 8 Ball Pool.
If you are having trouble finding the button, you can see where it is by looking at the picture below:
On the settings menu, you will see 2 important options related to the Chat/Emoji mechanic: Disable In-game Chat Messages and Chat Order.
To have your chat ON, so you can send the pre-defined messages and emojis during matches, you just have to leave the “Disable In-game Chat Messages” deactivated.
To manage your Chat Order, just click on the “Edit” button right next to it. After this, you will be shown a list of chats that are available to you. It should look like this:
You’ll then be able to rearrange your chat order, as well as hide unwanted messages. Please note that the first chat in that list will be the first chat displayed while you are playing the game.
Chatting with Facebook friends
This function, also called “Free Chat”, is available during the game for you to use while you are playing against mutually accepted Facebook Friends in your friends list, so if you added a player and that player adds you back you will be able to chat.
In this case you will be able to type the message that you want to send!
Tap on the icon message at the top and the "Type Here" or directly the bottom blue keyboard icon and type your personalized message!
Gifting
If you have a ton of friends on 8 Ball Pool that you like to play against, you will love this feature! Not only can you play against them, but you can also send them gifts and they can send gifts back!
Gifting will allow you to send an amount of free coins to every single one of your Facebook friends once per day. These coins are not taken from your current total – they are completely free for you and your friends. The amount you send is randomly generated, so some friends may get luckier than others!
You can now help each other and share even more 8 Ball Pool fun!
