We put our thesaurus back in our shelves as we won't be needing to skim through its pages to find solutions to Waffle's word of the day.

Miniclip has parted ways with Waffle and the mobile version of the game was unpublished in July 2025. 

Waffle was a cross-word puzzle in the shape of a waffle, hence the name, that tested your linguistic skills but also your ability to switch letters around in the least moves possible.

Your aim was, as per the game's rules to:

"Rearrange the letters into the correct words, horizontally and vertically. Drag letters anywhere on the board. The letters will change colour to show whether they are in the correct position. The number of moves remaining is displayed below the board."

Although the game's mechanics never change, there were three additional game modes and an archive of all daily waffles.

What does shutting down the game server mean?

The game is accessible only on your device. You will be able to play offline, but you cannot connect to the game server, play with other players, make purchases etc.

What will happen with my data?

30 days after the shutdown of the server, on 15th August 2025, we will proceed to delete all personal data related to the game which might take until 14th September. 

The process will be automatic, no action is required from the player's side. Read more about the deletion process here ("Deleting the account" section).

I don't want my data to be deleted. Can Miniclip keep my data? 

Unfortunately due to the privacy regulations in many countries, we are unable to preserve your Hockey Stars related personal data.

How come the game is deleted? I still have the game in my phone! 

Miniclip has shut down the game servers, but we cannot delete the game app from your mobile phone. The app will remain in your phone until you decide to delete it.
