Tutorial
When launching the game for the first time, you must complete the tutorial, which explains the basic game mechanics.
This includes the movement of the character, the different types of shots and how to serve.
After completing this training, you will be brought up to the game's main menu. If you wish to repeat the tutorial, you can do so by going to the Settings menu and pressing the designated button.
When you start playing the tutorial, you will notice that there are a few different types of shots:
- Top spin: a basic standard shot
- Spin shot: to make the ball spin
- Lob shot: when you want to make the ball go over your opponent
Besides choosing different types of shots, the longer you hold the button the more powerful the shot becomes. You can also aim at different directions with the directional control before you take the shot. This will allow you to have some control as to where the ball will land. Time it perfectly and it will be harder for your opponent to stop it, since the quality of the shot is something under the player's control.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to practice a smash shot (or overhead).
After completing the tutorial you will be taken to the main menu of the game. This is the main hub of the game, it's from here that you will decide what to do next.
We recommend that you link your account to Facebook (Android and iOS devices) or Apple ID (iOS devices only) right after completing the tutorial. If you do so, you won't risk losing your game progress and unique ID later on. Please, check this article on how to save your account: Why and How to upgrade a Guest Account?💾
Let's do a quick overview of the main menu!
1. Your player profile (name, avatar, country, level, XP) and the Settings menu
2. Your in-game currency balance: gems and coins
3. Rank (League, Global, country and friends), missions, gear (for more info, please check: Mini Tennis Leaderboards, missions and achievements)
4. 4 slots to open packs (received upon winning matches)
5. Shop (bottom left corner) and the Play button (bottom right corner)
Let's play a match!
In the main menu, tap the bottom "PLAY" to start a match.
You will have the option to play in different courts that you can unlock as you level up. Each court has different entry fees (the amount of coins required to participate in the match) and prizes (the amount of coins you will receive in case of victory).
Make sure to choose the right court depending on your skills and coins you have. The higher the court, the more challenging the match will likely be.
First, try to practice by playing in easier courts and once you feel comfortable enough, move up to the next one!
Mini Tennis will be launching with the normal 1vs1 game mode and Tournaments. Eventually, we will add the Win Streak mode, similar to other Miniclip titles.
What are the benefits of playing multiplayer matches?
By winning matches, you will receive XP points, coins and packs. This is basically how you progress in the game and become stronger.
XP points will decide the level of your account. Upgrading players and equipment will also award XP points.
Packs contain equipment pieces and players that can be used to increase the stats of your account, boosting the performance during matches.
What about the Shop?
The Shop is where you can keep track of all the available offers at a given time, you can acquire packs by using gems, purchase daily deals also using currency, watch video ads that will reward you with free packs and also purchase in-game currency.
That's it!
We hope you enjoy our new title, Mini Tennis!
There's a lot of surprises coming in the next few months and if you have any suggestions or feedback for us, do not hesitate to let us know!
