Miniclip related questions
Why is Miniclip.com changing after 21 years?
The evolution of Miniclip.com marks an incredible milestone in the Miniclip journey. Since
opening our mobile division back in 2010, players have been migrating to mobile to play their
favourite games, where they already enjoy the likes of Agar.io, 8 Ball Pool and Soccer Stars.
Therefore, we are focusing on mobile to deliver incredible experiences for both existing and
new players. Fans of Agar.io and 8 Ball Pool will still be able to enjoy those games via
Miniclip.com, as well as access a wealth of information about Miniclip as a business.
Why is now the right time for the evolution of Miniclip.com?
Over the last 21 years, Miniclip has undergone a huge transformation and it has become
clear where our players are most engaged, so we want to maximise our efforts on delivering
the best experiences possible on mobile.
What will be available on the updated Miniclip.com website?
While Miniclip.com as a web gaming platform is evolving, long-time fans and players of 8
Ball Pool and Agar.io will still be able to access web versions of these titles.
Miniclip.com will also have information on what we’re up to as a business, details on open
vacancies and any other business relevant information for potential partners.
Why is Miniclip prioritising its mobile side of the business? Do you think there’s a
chance you will return to web-based games in the future?
Miniclip has undergone an incredible transformation over the last 21 years, and most of our
players have already migrated over to mobile to play their favourite games, including the
likes of Agar.io and Soccer Stars.
There are no plans to continue supporting web-based games on this scale, but you will still
be able to play fan favourites, 8 Ball Pool and Agar.io, on Miniclip.com in the future.
Are there any plans to immortalise any other Miniclip.com games, outside of Agar.io
and 8 Ball Pool?
and 8 Ball Pool?
There are no plans to bring back other games online. However, players can still download all
their favourite games on their phone, as we continue to create bigger and better games than
ever before.
When was the last time a new game was released on Miniclip.com?
We’ve released a steady stream of hit games on Miniclip.com over the last 21 years. Our
most recent release was Super Trucks Offroad, in May 2021.
Why is Miniclip changing the focus of their website of so many beloved games?
The evolution of Miniclip.com marks an incredible milestone in the Miniclip journey, and most
of our players have already migrated over to mobile to play their favourite games, including the likes of Agar.io and Soccer Stars. It’s important for us to focus on providing the best possible experience for as many fans as possible.
Will the Miniclip.com URL still exist?
Miniclip.com as a URL isn’t going anywhere, and long-time fans and players of 8 Ball Pool
and Agar.io will still be able to access web versions of these titles.
The updated Miniclip.com website will also include information on what we’re up to as a
business, details on open vacancies and any other business relevant information for
potential partners.
How will current games and players be affected?
There will be no change for the many players who already enjoy our games on mobile. While
Miniclip.com as a web gaming platform is evolving, long-time fans and players of 8 Ball Pool
and Agar.io will still be able to access web versions of these titles.
Most Miniclip community favourites can still be downloaded and played from your phone, as
we continue to create bigger and better games than ever before.
Will players that have been using web versions of games exclusively still be able to
access their content on desktop?
Most of the games, which we did not develop ourselves, are already licensed with other
developers. As part of the shift of content and evolution of Miniclip.com, this effectively
means that we will end all partnerships with these developers. However, each developer is
free to decide what to do with their games once the website has evolved, if they adhere to
the conditions of their publishing agreement.
8 Ball Pool and Agar.io players will be the only two games to be offered both on web and
mobile. Access to their profiles and content will continue to be the same.
Unfortunately, players will not be able to continue playing the other games on our site.
Which games will I still be able to play, and where can I play them?
You can still visit us on Miniclip.com, but you’ll notice a different look and feel. You will still be
able to access community favourites 8 Ball Pool and Agar.io the same way as you do now.

Will fans have the option to host the domain, and its games, by request?
Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be possible as the technology required to make this happen is a
proprietary solution to Miniclip and would require a sizable infrastructure and team to
support.

Can we expect any games to be hosted elsewhere, perhaps on non-Miniclip sites?
